Frozen Inside

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 30, 2008

I tried to stop you
but i was frozen inside
I tried pushing you off
but i was frozen inside
i tried to get help
but i was frozen inside
i tried screaming loudly
but i was frozen inside
i tried moving away
but i was frozen inside
i tried to tell someone after
but i was frozen inside
i tried to move on
but i was frozen inside
i am trying to forget about you
but i am still frozen inside

Raw and full of emotion. The repetition reinforces the feeling of numbness that you are portraying here and is not uncommon in persons who have undergone abuse. Not a comfortable read for all it's simplicity in the choice of wording but it is very compelling.
