Curiousity

by MissAlotta   Nov 30, 2008

Surfacing the velvet, scarlet rose petals
Frigid water from the sprouting fountain trickles
Dripping onto the green grass drenched in dew
Carving a new trail in the muddy damp soil

The fluttering orange butterflies quivers
Sitting quietly upon cupid's marble hand
Sitting seeking a new journey, a new adventure
Sitting being blinded by the blazing sun

The butterfly comes upon a secluded gap
Mysteries that lay beyond the sharp and thorny bushes
Behind reveals a hidden yellow brick pathway
Leading to the lost labyrinth consumed with secrets

It flutters into the faint illumination of the maze
Down the path was nothing but occupied emptiness
Around was whispers warning the petite one to depart
The prying eye lured danger to itself
