These three simple words
So softly spoken
So hesitantly pronounced
So wide open

These three simple words
They would not mean a thing
Unless they came from your mouth
Weather be smiling or weeping

These three simple words
Said with much hesitation
Put me deep in a trance
of confusing and temptation

These three simple words
So little but a lot
Make me want to believe
I'm something I'm not

These three simple words
Are all written down
Somewhere in this poem
Never to be found...
