Seasons ( Collab)

by Ingrid   Dec 2, 2008

Spring

The first warm wind breathes life into the frozen ground
Gently touching upon a world asleep for months on end
Cubs and calves are born and spring flowers color the fields
Eternal rejuvenation, abundance waiting around the bend

Summer

Barbeques, beach parties, sunshine, life is spent outdoors
Stretched out on the tender grass lovers play their game
Humming bees and nights shared under a star spangled sky
Neverending days filled with laughter and joy in an endless refrain

Fall

Colors morph from green to a canvas of orange hues
Fallen leaves and pine cones decorate the barren ground
Cool winds blow gently summer breezes are replaced
Smoke from warm fireplaces rising to the heavens

Winter

Children building snowmen and catching flakes on their tongue
Jackets wrapped tightly with mittens and gloves
Moonbeams on snowflakes a romantic painting is seen
Sleigh bells, decorated houses and hallelujah to the King

This poem is a collaboration with my beloved young friend TJ Becker.

It was so much fun to do this with you, my talented but above all very sweet friend!

Colorful poem of the seasons. A view from our window watching the seasons change . Nature is the perfect artist and you've captured it in words.

The both of you really captured the essence of the season...its like two creative minds entwines picturing out a beautiful scenery with a single vision.

I complain about the seasons we have but your poem has made me admit I really do like them. Without the seasons it is really boring. Nice job from both you and TJ. Hard to tell who wrote what verse. Good job. 5/5
