Loneliness is the worst poverty

by Ganga Maya Rizal   Dec 3, 2008

Lost as cloud in the chaos of darkness,
Tangled by the waves of emotions,
Hurt by lashes of unfaithfulness and felony
A losing battle it was with the pirates of life.

My heart wept, every drop of diamond
Disappeared in the salty water
I fought with every strain of strength
All alone defending my soul
Raved by poverty of loneliness.

I saw falling wits and wisdom
Shriveled determination,
Dissolved aspirations, hopes flickered in
The mids of storm but held on never to give up.

A voyage of two year, now, gone in seconds.
Looking up at the open day after rain and darkness
I see my shore limpidly clear and beautiful
A friend came and it is spring again.

I see clear water along my route
And a graceful sun over my head
A heart filled with joy and love for life
I sail ahead to a newer land of better horizons.

The wind is apt
Sailing towards grandeur of life,
Towards bigger dreams,
Towards my real journey of life.
