Friend, lover and devil,
Who really are you?

Once upon a time my heart had a place for you,
Back when i actually loved you,
When things were all good,
Not just a crazy game that we played.

Before any of that we were friends,
Life was simple so easy then,
A bundle of laughs,
Times so good we would have a blast.

Times slowly began to change,
Suddenly things were getting weird,
No longer was our friendship what it used to be,
It was the start of something deeper,
When you tried to kiss me that night,
You and i both knew it was far from right,
You were in a relationship and so was i,
I tried to let that moment slip my mind.

Then came i time you would make your heart mine,
Finally it was our time to shine,
Maybe life could now be a dream,
You and i together secretly,
For a brief time happiness,
Then it all began to fall apart.

You hadn't changed your old ways,
As time passed by more issues soon arisen,
The world eventually began giving us signs,
Eventually we said goodbye,
Tried to go our separate ways,
Still we kept going back for more,
Though our love was no more.

On and off things continued to happen,
We were never on but never off,
Both of us kind of had others,
Time passed on i fell in love again,
Not with you but another guy,
So we stopped everything went back to just friends,
That's where it needs to stay,
Or else our story ends.

For a while didn't mind your persistence,
Now it's getting to that time,
Enough is enough now your not a lover or a friend,
Some thing's taking over you,
Making you something else,
Creating a devil... a new you.
