I SEE

by Daniel   Dec 3, 2008

I see
I see the past,
Like it is the present,
Nostalgia hurt,
So does the fantasies.

I see
I see the children and women,
Gnawing in oblivion,
Bright future too distant,
Good old past forgotten.

I see
I see life harsh at large,
The world shrinking to wrekage,
Hopes so faint to urge,
Dreams so vague to comprehend.

I see
I see the soft breeze,
That which cant be felt,
But soon turns into a violent wind,
That which can even be heard.

I see
I see in her face a comfy,
Smile that was so elusive,
Finally twilight of hope,
Despair disappears deeper into horizon.

I like this poem and from reading it, what I see is a worl that is lost. I see a world of people who have lost their desire to dream, not only that but those who don't want to thik outside the box. The past has not been forgotten, people just refuse to acknowledge mistakes and move on from it. I like what you see and I think you can spin seeral poems off of this one.
