Moonlighting story

by pam   Dec 4, 2008

Weekly ritual in my balcony

continuing with my moonlighting story

tonight the moon is laughing at me

for pretending you are just as silly

i shut my eyes and willed

like I did in my girlhood years

to invade your consciousness

till I gave up in exhaustion and tears

all i got was a blanket of obscurity

as impenetrable as the night

while the stars continued to mock me

as the moon drifted out of sight

I must admit i too have done this. Wishing, longing, hoping that my thoughts would reach her and she would know how much I want to talk to her again.

    Great job!!
