The One She Loves

by Animus   Dec 4, 2008

His lips brush the back of her neck.
She shivers and moans softly.
His sudden appearance has ignited
a fluttering of butterflies.
She never imagined she would
feel this way about him.
She didn't think she was good enough.
She didn't think she deserved him.
But whatever her fears,
she loved him.
She realized that in a single moment of time.
He nuzzles the breathe warmed skin
between her shoulders.
She lowers her head to give him better access.
Goose-bumps riddled her arms and
she giggles as he blows lightly across
the pale skin at the base of her neck.
A grin splits his face and he blows a little harder.
She laughs and squirms, trying to roll over.
He holds her down, releasing his breathe slowly,
making her shiver and giggle.
He amends by raining kisses
across the breadth of her shoulders.
She sighs and raises her head,
resting her cheek against his face.
He captures her lips and this time,
he lets her roll over.
Their lips break contact as he grabs
her wrists and pins them above
her head with slight force.
She gasps and her heart flutters
as a surge of excitement courses
through her veins.
She likes it when force was used.
The hint of her being overpowered
is deliciously exciting.
He sees her pleasure and slams
his mouth down on hers.
She arches into him, letting a sound
of pleasure escape their fused lips.
They are panting heavily
when they break apart.
She stares into his face, searching
for the reason that she loves him.
He smiles, a question in the
sea-green depths of his eyes.
"I love you"
The way he set her on fire,
the molten heat oozing through
her body, setting off sparklers
as it saturates every inch of her.
His generosity.
The expression on his face when
he was thoroughly enjoying himself.
His love for fun.
The way the corners of his mouth
twitch up when he caught her
staring at him.
His love of philosophy.
His whole-hearted, open-throated laugh.
The way his face lights up when he shares
his vast knowledge with another.
The way he suckles her bottom lip.
His loyalty to himself and others.
The passion in his voice when he
speaks of politics.
His smell.
The way his eyes crinkle when he smiles.
His straightforwardness.
The way his hair made perfect curls.
The way he treats everyone with respect.
His maturity.
The twinkle of mischief in his eyes
when he smacks her playfully.
His style.
His sounds of pleasure.
The way he grips his lower lip
between his teeth when he's concentrating.
His honestly.
His personality.
His morals.
The trail of soft hair above his naval.
His zest of life.
These were some of the reasons she loves him.
She would give her life for him.
He releases her lips and kisses her gently.
She smiles and curls into his arms.
She sighs, feeling safe and warm,
and she knew that this was where
she wanted to spend the rest of her life.
Encircled in the arms of the one she loves.
