Single Rose

by Crystal Rose Blooming   Dec 5, 2008

Single rose in a crystal vase
Lonely dewdrop tears glisten
Vibrant colors fade to pale

No longer kissed by the sun
Clouds blanket her world
Petals droop in sadness

Love; the waters of life
Evaporated from her world
Thirsting, she slowly dies

Drops of life touch her face
Drinking in the nourishment
Sweet taste of his pure love

Passion, love and tenderness
Now fill her vacant failing heart
Crystal vase now occupied by two

*To my sweet breath of life*

Wow Crystal this was just so beautiful! Your use of imagery just blew me away and the descriptions were very effective in getting the message across. The emotion expressed felt so real I know came straight from your heart.

This deserves my vote for the weekly contest.
    Well done!
