You'll Never Forget

by FallingAngel   Dec 6, 2008

She thought you could be her friend,
you laughed at her ruthlessly.
Mocking and making fun of her,
you couldn't see how much you meant to her.

She sat alone, never talking to anyone,
and you felt superior as you sat with your friends.
She locked herself away,
never reaching out for friendship.

She kept thinking that life wasn't worth it,
as the days wore on and she was left alone.
And as she dragged that razor across her wrist,
she thought of you, your mocking and jeering.

Her blood fell to the floor in that school bathroom.
And she laughed as she thought of you,
who never gave her a second glance.
Because now she was free of the laughing and the pain.

And you will never forget those day's,
when a little girl asked to be your friend,
And you laughed at her.

The day you walked into that bathroom
And felt the chills run down your back.
You'll always think of her, in your days and nights.
You'll never forget what you did to that little girl.

This is a great poem. It's a bit blunt and could probably be more poetic like, but it's still well written. Just more in an essay/short story type. The beginning was okay. I think it could use a bit more to it, as well as the ending. The only reason I say that is because it's so story like. Which, I really like that in poems. But, it's almost not like a poem at all, just a broken up story...

Good job though, it really is. I don't want to rain on the parade because it's still well written.
