Fake Smile

by Hawaiian Chick   Dec 6, 2008

You don't know how I hurt inside,
as you walk hand in hand with her.
I smile and make my feelings hide,
my love for you, unknown.

You smile and laugh as you talk of her,
I laugh and join along.
You tell me that I'm a really good friend,
I've had a fake smile on for too long.

Sometimes you smile sadly,
as you look into my face.
You never tell me what it is,
but something looks outplaced.

And now I really wonder,
as I wear that plastic face.
If you could see my real smile,
would you like my real face?
