In the milky way, on planet earth
there was a boy and a girl
suspended in mid-air they feel like they are flying
the pulse of life through the break in the clouds
the sun shines down on their hearts uplifted
savoring the moment that she is in his gaze
the breath of a new beginning
the sigh of a world renewed
the emotions in his mind have now found completeness 
the clarity and intensity
he want to close his eyes, she needs to look away
If eyes are the window to the soul
then he is staring through her
seeing the real person
can she handle it?
Is it too much to take?

With his fingers intertwined with hers
she knows she could be with him forever
whether it be a week or 60 years
they reach the milky way
the tears glisten 
they have never reached this level of happiness
emotions they had not met
