Serenity Affect

by Katy Nicholson   Dec 9, 2008

Fate is an elegance.
Hope rises the shore.
If it wasn't for pain,
Then I'd know nothing more.

I'd take my last breath.
And would do so right here.
But I have not enough pride,
To deliver my fears.

I have never been scared.
Though I have been scarred.
If there's even much difference,
Love shouldn't be hard.

A part of me always stays.
A part of me always dies.
Which ever part is which,
It can't tell honesty from lies.

My veins burn with confidence.
I can feel it take affect.
But I've never had the strength,
To learn and to accept.

I've struggled hard to realize.
Life's already much too long.
I must find my serenity..
My forever lasting song.
