    Sweet Gennie,

Your poem has made me cry. I hope your heart has found peace with Adam's death after all these months..I know the pain will always be there, because I lost the person I loved most when I was 6 and still I can cry for him...but we are still here, girlie and we have to live on.
I am so glad to see you posting again and to know you are still with us.
A beautiful poem you made btw, you have really grown both spiritually and also in your work!

Have a merry, merry Christmas this year.
I will toast to you and praise the Lord for keeping you safe.

Much love and a huge hug!

    Hi
I just have to say your writing is wonderful. Flow and wording is perfect. Also the pain of loss is so strongly obvious.
I lost my husband in Iraq two years ago. My heart bleed pain for so long. And even though I am so in love with someone now. I still grieve for the loneliness of lives with out him.

But God holds him dear now. Take heart the ones we have lost feels no pain, it's the living.
    God Bless

I'm sorry for your loss. Many people can identify with that darkness within that can make one want to leave this life...unfortunately.

Beautifully sad ... very touching write ... the imagery and the word choice is wonderful...

    "Amidst summers heat
    Your life came undone
    In one final decision
    You faded into the sun"

^^ very heartfelt ... specially the last two lines... it gives a feeling as if someone is never going to come back ... faded from our life ...

    "Icy winds prick thy heart
    Behind shadows in the night
    Opening frozen wounds
    Alone in winters darkened light"

^^ beautiful lines... very sad ... a feeling of lonliness crept inside me as I read these lines ... wonderfully penned...

    When I thouht of you
    thouht=thought, i guess

    wonderful read...
    keep writing..

Good use of metaphors in this deeply saddening piece. I am sorry for your loss. Depression is such a horrible thing and the grief felt by the ones left behind is very hard. Excellent job on this piece, good flow and word choice and is void of forced rhyming.

Each line had a stunted, hollow frailty to it. There were no obvious attempts to find artificial flow or continuity, it just rolled along in a sincere yet abrupt manner. This poem was an ice cube down the neck of seasonal cheer. I hope it reaches the target audience with aplomb. :-)
