The Moon Promised

by ShyandHurt   Dec 12, 2008

Flat out on the ground,
I stare about,
What an awesome place I've found,
It is the best with no doubt.

Above me hangs a full moon so bright,
Shining down on me,
A kite with no string it's so white,
It sends me a silent plea.

The white rays ask me to stay,
To keep my chin up,
I'm swaying,
My life is only ugly smut.

But for the sake of the moon's love,
I'll keep strong,
The world and people I will remain tolerant of,
I just want to belong.

This the moon promises to my unknowing eyes as they reflect.
It promises.
