Hope For Change

by Beautiful Chaos   Dec 12, 2008

Not the one I remember
Though I know it's you
The years have not been kind
Nor has the world

Seamless windows of guilt
Built into walls of soul
Doors of opportunity nailed shut
Hope screams for freedom

Beauty chained
Confidence bound
A shadow of former self
Demons rage within the eye

It is asthough you fight
Against all you were
All you could be
Denying yourself all you crave

Your virulent words
Harbour the slightest hint of longing
Fighting through the arrogant fear
That has encompassed your spirit

Purge yourself of this madness
Let your dreams breathe once again
Allow your hope freedom
And your mind faith

Believe
Like the girl I see
Behind your chestnut eyes
Prays you will
Before death finds you

Another wonderful write of yours ... the imgary and the metaphors used to describe your emotions is beautiful...

    "Seamless windows of guilt
    Built into walls of soul
    Doors of opportunity nailed shut
    Hope screams for freedom"

^^ I love the metaphors used here...

    "Believe
    Like the girl I see
    Behind your chestnut eyes
    Prays you will
    Before death finds you "
^^ I felt both sadness and encouragement in these lines ... wonderful ending..

    keep writing..
