Stays In My Spine

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Dec 13, 2008

Since when does a still room spin
Since when does a dead poem start itself up again
But I feel like all my poems
Are starting where the last one ended
And now I've been repeating myself
Until a reader gets offended

I feel like I'm losing, I'm losing this high
What a perfect time to say goodbye
What a prefect time to let go
It's not what you know
It never was about what your head says
How light bends in a diamond
When it's trapped on the inside
It's not really twinkling its distorting
How twisted and ironic
Diamonds are a girls best friend
What a perfect time to say goodbye
What a perfect time to end

"Well I've cried, and you'd think I'd be better for it
but the sadness just sleeps and it stays in my spine
for the rest of my life."

"and then rudolph fell, but the little elf caught him and held him up, no matter how hard it was to do so.."
