EveryDay

by ViolentlyDisturbed   Dec 13, 2008

Everyday I look into the mirror,
And everyday I ask myself what do I see,
And everyday I say the same thing.
I see a girl who just wants to be loved

And accepted for who she is,
Not what they perceive her to be.
She wants to be notice and acknowledge,
But not judged.
Everyday I look into the mirror,
And everyday I ask myself what do I see,
And everyday I say the same thing.
I see a girl who's lonely and is looking for attention.
She wants people to pay attention to her and her achievements,
But not look at her as if she did something wrong.
Everyday I look into the mirror,
And everyday I ask myself what do I see,
And everyday I say the same thing.
I see a girl who sometimes cries herself to sleep at night,
She feels unwanted.
All she wants is acceptance.
She afraid to trust,
For people will abuse that right and use her.
But the thing I don't understand
Is why she puts herself through this everyday?
Sometimes she feels like she wants to die,
But she always wakes up everyday hoping it would get better.
