Bitter Night

by Faithless   Dec 13, 2008

Through the cold night of winter
the year has never seem so bitter
happiness filled with anger
endless prayers with no answer

friends becomes backstabbers
holy priest becomes a drunker
hopes and dreams turns to failure
perfection with full of errors

nothing is left inside the drawer
honey bread tend to lose it's flavor
mothers no longer love their daughters
a warrior is no longer a fighter

all that's left was hunger
hopeless dreams of pleasure
life's joke turns into laughter
all because of believing a liar

will the tiring days gets more better?
will the world be much more brighter?
will the horizon be much more clearer?
Will i ever see a happily ever after?

What a great poem.. so filled with sadness.. awesome job.
i love the questions at the end.. they are questions that everyone asks themselves.. but no one really can answer them for you.. only you can make the choices in your life to make it better.. and then people will destroy the good choices you made.. but if we keep at it.. then maybe those questions CAN be answered.

    nice poem.

    "friends becomes backstabbers
    holy priest becomes a drunker
hopes and dreams turns to failure
perfection with full of errors". This stanza caught my attention, waw this is sad yet can be a slice of life. A real friends are like real love, if it's fake it can never last. A friend who became backstabber isn't and wasn't a friend at all, but a co-called friends. I enjoy your write. It merits 5/5, kel.
