Promises mean nothing at all

Has anyone ever told you,
I will stay by your side,
No matter what is happening,
I'll be here for you to confide,

Through the thick and the thin,
Even when things get rough,
I'll be there holding your hand,
Even when it gets to tough,

Holding your head up high,
Saying I won't let you break,
Giving you the support,
When you make a mistake,

But after they made that promise,
They left you to stubble and fall,
Tearing you apart, and leaving you to die,
They didn't care though; you meant nothing at all.

--this has happened to me before, and it hurt me so bad. I just hate when people break their promises. I hope this hasn't happened to alot of people :/
