Weight

by Lindsay   Dec 14, 2008

They did not have flashing lights when they came
To get you.
At the top of your lungs you screamed
What Ive felt.
But that will never make it right.

Take him away boys.
Make him learn.
Hands behind your back
I cant look.

You are sitting on the sidewalk
See what you have done?
Head between your legs
Its too heavy to hold up.
You do not see anything.
What do you remember?

I am holding that bear.
Daddys little girl.
Shes done it again
And I hear you in the hall.
But I did not cry.

Oh my daughter
This weight on your shoulders
Was once on His.
Give a portion to Him.
He will hold you up.
