Tangled Up In Me

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Dec 16, 2008

I broke through the doors and I cried
I knew nobody would follow me
If I just got outside

I was greeted by the stinging bite of the winter air
And the smell of stale cigarettes
That's when you know you're completely alone

I could see my breathe in front of me
I guess that's how you know you're alive
If only broken hearts were that easy

I knew they wouldn't come here
It's colder than I thought
But that that makes me think clearer

Or something

I was greeted by the stinging bite of the winter air
And the smell of stale cigarettes
That's when you know you're completely alone

Then the very fabric of reality
The stuff that makes things real
It all got tangled up in me

The same threads that hold us at heart
They hold us to the ground
They keep us apart

I'll scream loud enough for you to hear me
I'll scream loud enough for you
I guess they call this string theory
