Stay A While

by Throwin Shapes   Dec 16, 2008

I don't know how you compel me so
it seems like you appeared only a few days ago
your make caught my eye and everything i saw..
everything i still see whenever i see you
casts a shade of subtle beauty over my view
your quiet grace plays off that beautifully loud smile
and i'd drop it all just to stay a while

i wish i could make your smile all the time
here and there and everywhere
clear up anything
from the thinest overcast
to the thickest smog
good morning and goodnight
i love you after fight
all your life
this is a wish on a journey with many miles
i'd do anything just to stay a while

you called my name to catch me walking
and ever since i wake up hearing all our talking
now we both wonder about the other
and play distant to hide desires of smother
our ideas are fine tuned and artistic in style
i'd modify it all just to stay a while
