I can't want her, but I do.

by Once an Angel   Dec 18, 2008

I can't want her.

This emotion is contrary to my piety,
And its classification of morality and sin.
if man and woman are meant to be together,
the what does religion make of me?

Her soft skin seduces my body,
And her red hair entices my essence.
My hands long to be pressed in hers,
And to caress her beauty in my arms.

Holy angels turn their heads away,
and shut heaven's door to me.
Writing my sins with scarlet ink,
In the eternal book of adultery.

I want to explore every part of her,
And claim it selfishly as mine forever.
I want to unveil her ivory glory,
And give into the joy of pleasure.

The sacred scriptures testify against me,
Citing the flames of Sodom's transgression.
Their pages condemn my soul to damnation,
If I let go and indulge in my carnal intentions

I hold her too closely to just be friends,
And gazing too entranced into her eyes.
Her green pools reflect my yearning,
to intertwine our bodies together.

I can't want her, but I do.

This showed me both your confusion and desires that seemed to be wrapped into one clusterf**k of an emotion. You're looked down upon for what you want and it's having adverse affects on your well-being. Word choice was good, as it expressed a different array of emotional deficits. I enjoyed this. 5/5.

However, if this was a true story...I hope you have found a way to get around society's expectations and everyone's opinion on what's right and what's wrong. You are who you are...and the only person who should have a say so in whether you need to change is yourself. And that should never be due to what everyone else wants. It should be completely up to you.

I hope you are well. Oh and btw...if this means you're condemned to hell, then I'll be sitting right next to you.
