Summer Day

by Shelby G.   Jun 9, 2004

A snap of a finger
A whistle of a bird
The jidder jabber crickets
That no ones ever heard

The tinker of the ants alone
The windy days ahead
The black crow screeches to the rook
A sound that you would dread

The clouds blow by
The waters rush
The goopy sounds of mucky mush
The wind that chilld
The tall green hills
The pigeons sit on tall food mills

A splash in the pool
The young kids play
They waste away their summer days
Another one screams
With a grin on her face
The boys all laugh and the girls begin to race

The rivers waves
The skys clouds
The green green grass
The squeaky mouse

The great smell of steak
Cooking on the grill
As dad hollers out
Wile standing on the hill

Moms in the kitchen
Baking up a pie
They taste of the apples
To wait did make kids cry
5 O'clock noon
Everyones a winner
Wile after a summer day
The kids sit down for dinner
