Words caught in my breath
with your eyes looking into mine
I was going to tell you, say it all
But looking at you, I couldn't do it

My breathing clears
eyes sparking with love
pictures in my mind
I swoon inside, all alone

stomach clenching with fear
mouth turning with a grimace
the dreams flit in and out
tomorrow I can do it, I know

fate arrives, knocking hard
legs clenched, saliva lost
