When Parents Fight

She smiles today
And cries tonight
She's the only one
To hear them fight

She fights
He throws her down
He says he wishes
She would drown

He curses
She screams
Their words
Haunt her dreams

All alone
Behind the couch she lies

When parents fight
They don't know
But someone needs to tell them

And at school
