Happy?

by xLeftxBehindx   Dec 22, 2008

I have a smile on my face
I land every step I take with happy grace
I look happy to the bone
Not a single sad or evil thing is shown

The colors I have on, orange and pink
Every sentence started always ends in a wink
I ace every test in school, honors and all
You'd never think I have ever taken a fall

You see me as a happy-go-lucky girl
All preppy and happy as I twirl
Down the street I skip
Holding my cute hair up with a clip

You wouldn't ever think I would be sad
Never would you think I could think bad
But you never see me at home
You never see me after dark when I roam

Sometimes people wear a mask
No one ever thinks to ask
If they are really OK or are just putting on an act
They always think if someone is smiling, happy is a fact

The mask is part of my everyday life
I always think of my future, would I be happy, like man and wife?
All I need to do is get away from the pain I feel
The people that do it, some friend they are, that's the deal

I can't wait until I am old enough
I will be able to leave when the stuff gets rough
When I am older, get a job, live my life
So I really can be happy like man and wife

    Great poem. I rate 5/5

Though, getting older doesn't solve everything, in the end, it comes down to you making the effort to move forward.
