Songs To Sing For You

by xToBeWithYoux   Dec 23, 2008

You, my love, are an array of serenades,
each floating gracefully into the next.
Words of passion strung high to a tune
escape from your feather soft lips.

I am still in debt to your lustrous voice.
Your bass thunder to my soprano birdsong
in harmony, like the sun and sky:
Peaceful, yet ever-owing.

There are infinite songs to sing for you,
about every aspect of our entwined souls.
I will still be singing next to your grave,
to finish the honour of singing for you.

Chords thrum from deep inside,
a chorus of angels erupts from your mouth.
Once again, I have been swept away
on your beautiful lyrics.

Very well written. Seriously, if there was ever a moment to prove that poetry doesn't need to rhyme it's right here.

Every theing was very, well, eloquent. Every adjective, every verb, every detail, and every change in emotions, were well placed and thought out carefully. The work of a writer obviously, not just an "emo" amateur.

I must say though, there were minor mistakes, but who doesn't make them? Nothing to worry about, just a few syllables clashing here and there. No worries.

This was by far the best part in your poem, in my opinion:

"I am still in debt to your lustrous voice.
Your bass thunder to my soprano birdsong
In harmony, like the sun and sky:
    Peaceful, yet ever-owing."

"Your bass thunder to my soprano birdsong"

That was great, it really was. Added an element of drama and "edgyness" to the work.

Good job. =D 5/5 for sure.
