Flicker

by brie kelly wise   Dec 24, 2008

So you say you cannot save me anymore
I wait by the ocean, drowning in the shore
So I draw dotted lines so I can be torn
But I catch my favorite disease when I soar

Carry these lines and mail them before my mouth runs dry
I wish you could cave in before you're done and right
Carry this sickly compassion into flickering light
Though it'll come on and off, we can wish it a safe flight

Bury me in the very trails we once walked
Throw me into the walls that listened while we talked
As falling-out's go, this one was kicked into the rocks
Kiss me goodnight, and tell me the journey won't be long
