Loss of dignaty.

by stephaanie   Dec 24, 2008

Approched by a friend
with an invitation to attend
she promises herself never again
crosses her fingers, not till the end

the night that will change her life
still the peer pressure cuts like a knife
first it was a sip, then a cup or two
tequilla, rum, vodka and another few

her vision became blury, her hearing impared
wishing her friends never would have shared
the memories they haunt her, even the ones she cant recall
wondering how they let her drink that much at all

laughter filled the house, she was the entertainment of the night
at least this didnt end in a fight
they hand her more drinks, she drinks them all back
peer pressure, these so called friends did not lack

soon enough things seemed way too wrong
but nobody cared, playing was a 'cool song'
she was on her own, lost and out of mind
without the care of her friends, the bathroom she did find

the toilet her new bestfriend, the only thing to comfort her
still not knowing whats going on, everythings one big blur
the door shoots open, there everyone stands
still nobody lends a helping hand

her dignaty there it goes, down the drain
not believing this is happening, she must be insane
wrong again im afraid, the night was a go
everything did happen, soon enough everyone will know

so never again, this time she swears up and down
last night was the last time, she looks like a clown
a promise to herself, to the life of her own
dignaty will return once responsiblity is shown.
