Rain (Monorhyme)

by Sylvia   Dec 28, 2008

Running to the car to escape the rain,
I fell, broke my arm and now I'm in pain.
My fault entirely, I should not complain
even though the rain does make me insane.
Now there's a cast to deal with and explain.
A good day to stay in bed, that is plain.
Good thoughts we should always maintain,
without rain, grass and flowers are mundane.
Dark clouds forewarn of pending storms again,
so from running I must abstain.
Or else I might fall again, how inane,
and then would be using a walking cane.

Very funny, that is quite plain,
To think of those rhymes must have drove you insane.

Funny and clever, a pleasure to read.
