Forgotten

by adroit   Dec 30, 2008

Down in the dumps
Like the shadows upon the ceiling
Cobwebs scattered softly like cotton
And the past haunting, calling sweetly quiet
Just to be remembered
Wishing only to be forgotten

Dream interlaced with dream
Like the hands of enemies
Not a care in the world, just for a heartbeat
Hiding in the corners, never to breathe again
Waiting to be remembered
If only they could be forgotten

Days crashing into the night
Like the ocean crashes into the shore
Stars overhead blotted out by the clouds
Memories overshadowed by their own pain
Never to be remembered
Made just to be forgotten
