Warm Thoughts

I can't drown out the noise,
it's all far too strong,
I slowly sink into my chair,
with my ipod on my favourite song.

My face is covered with my scarf,
setting the mood to relax,
I'm snuggling into my green blanket,
ignoring the pain in my back.

I feel heavy and drowsy,
upset that I'm without tea,
thinking about the warmth of home,
and painting with my hubby.

I'm full of mixed feelings,
about today and tomorrow,
I hope the holidays are great,
with no regret or sorrow.
