New Year Begins

The new year is coming
Look at everyone, what they are becoming
The season will change the birds are humming
On TV the band is playing and drummers are drumming

Look at it like a new start
A bad relationship this year can have a renewed heart
Maybe you could do a little more on your part
Make this next year last and not fall apart

The mistakes will change from 2008
The changes can happen that you create
Do what you can to fill your plate
Exchange love instead of hate

Be the person you want to be
Have a fun time on a shopping spree
Make your outings not one or two but three
Be nice to a degree

In February, give out a valentine
Take you friend out to dine
Party 'till dawn, fun and laughing to combine
Give it up for 2009!

    I agree with Cara, it can be scray, but its also really exciting, starting a new year. I liked this write, it was so casually writtem, not forced ya no? But yeh, nice work. =]

    This is a cute little poem. i really liked the ending. :] give it up for 2009 :]
    Entering a new year is always exciting i think. Scary too sometimes.. but exciting and an opportunity for a new start. Everyone can do with a new start sometimes.
