A Stage Act

by Indian Comma Bean   Jan 1, 2009

A burden to the society, I am one of few,
A two-face, a liar, a mere individual.
I am the one who lives a life behind a mask,
Yet I am the one who lives a life of innocence.

Carrying secrets in the satchel of my mind,
I lay down my pen in the presence of my peers,
For no weapon kills a man faster then what is spoken
Through the lips of jealousy in the cover of incivility.

A burden to my heart, this secret festers,
This feeling, this sickness, a mere slit away.
I am the one who lives a life behind a mask,
Yet I am the one who refuses to remove it.

This is a strong write where emotions are
captured and pinned to paper with anger, yet
I also feel there is sadness behind these words. A touching write..take care.
