Roses Too Black

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Jan 1, 2009

Since the day I was born.
My path was full of thorns.
The roses turned too black.
But for revenge i have sworn.

Since the day I lived this life.
My destiny was pain and strife.
I have nothing to really lose.
For I have been already bruised.

So you can hit me harder
And you can scream at me more.
But a caged bird will one day break free
And in the blue skies it will soar

One day my rainbow will succeed the storm
But maybe you were misinformed
I might be externally weak
But patience for me speaks

I want to be precise
And say you'll pay the price
And since I've always been nice
It will be my time to play the dice

I will one day be through with you
Of my anger you have no clue
But revenge is better when served late
When it is delayed and overdue

Don't mess with a person
Who has nothing to lose
A person who was always silent
And beaten and misused

Consider this a threat.
My revenge won't arrive just yet.
But my roses turned too black
And my insanity will attack.

My eyes just glinted with darkness, revenge huh!
I loved the words you used, and the tittle is phenominal, I sence a bit of optimacy although it is very dark and has a pesimistic look towards those who hurt and decieve people... Great write!!
