No Matter What

by RebelForever   Jan 2, 2009

In this world of hate and tears,
The world of a thousand fears,
What good are dreams that break?
What promise could you ever make?
When life comes crashing down,
And no one hears your sound,
Who would ever stay with you?
Could anyone pull you through?
When wrongs become rights,
And your mind doesn't fight,
Does the cruelty wash away?
Does it make you want to stay?
When you hold a gun to your head,
Thinking everyone has fled.
Will anyone miss you tomorrow?
Who will feel any sorrow?
You've asked yourself all this,
Looking for things you've missed.
And despite the wrongs I've done,
Despite the blocked out sun,
The promise I make you,
Is to forever be true.
I'll be your friend now until the end,
Your every enemy, I'll try to fend.
I'll hug you when you need to cry,
I'll hold your hand through every lie.
I'll make you laugh the best i can.
You're looking at your biggest fan.
You're my sunshine on a foggy day,
You listen to every word I say.
You love me like nobody I know,
You make me feel like I can glow.
And while giving me all this,
You became someone I missed.
Someone important in this life.
The light in all this hard strife.
So I promise you, my shining star
I'm your friend forever, for who you are.
