Many scars are upon my body
not just any scars though
scars that
started off as an emotion
as a problem
as love
as guilt
as self hatred
all my scars have a different meaning
all of them started off
as a faint scratch
then a little deeper
a little longer
a spot of blood
a trail
a stinging feeling
then i awake to a
slight scab
a nasty mark upon my body
a faint scar
that lasts forever
