Smoke & Mirrors

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 4, 2009

Saw her one day
So pretty
So perfect
Smiling
From her coven of evil

How breezy it must be
On her high horse
Named Arrogance
Though every hair remains
In place

We common folk
Falling to the urban legend
Perfection
But nothing is flawless

This paragon of popularity
Falters when the bell rings
Home isn't such a pretty thought
You'd never read it on her face
Unless you knew what to look for

Daddy in jail
For his dirty thoughts
And savage hands
That to this day
Drip with her innocence

Mommy
Drunk on shame
And full of blame
Wishing everyday for him
Instead of her

School
This persona
Her only pitiful escape
Her only release
For the fire raging inside

I almost feel sorry for her
Embracing destruction
Humiliation
Flows too perfectly
From her vicious facade
