Entwined Hands & Whispered Fate

by Tammie   Jan 5, 2009

Can I hold your hand for just a moment?
Just to feel the warmth of your skin against mine.
'Cause I can't remember what it feels like to be alive,
Only to be forgotten behind all of this tragedy.

Feel my cheeks burn as these ice cold drops fall
They never know who I am behind this facade
And I don't either, now that you've gone away
I drink to forget you, and sleep to dream of you.

These roses aren't as beautiful in the spring
As you in that checked shirt you wore that day,
When I held your hand for just a moment and
Felt your lips brush past my ear and whisper my fate.

I really enjoyed reading this, I tried to get into your mind and feel what you were feeling. Your word choice and description were well thought out....very nice. 5/5.
