Healing Moonlight

by Beautiful Chaos   Jan 9, 2009

When my heart
Lay here broken
I've only one friend
Who Bathes me in comfort
Shines without end

The moon
(and her children)
Bright shining stars
Unseen in the sunlight
She's loved for her scars

A spark
The mystery
That speckles her face
Eats at the heart
Of the whole human race

And though we have been there
We still
Long to go
And touch for one moment
It's heavenly glow

The sun it gives life
But the moon
Holds desire
And stars are the steps
To love's healing fire

THis is gorgeous. It's rich in imagery and feeling. I have a song titled "Man in the Moon" and whenever I see him from my patio on the 14th floor, I go out and say hello (as I did this evening - it looks like a full moon tonight)

The last verse is especially exquisite, but all of it is lovely and so well done.
