Tangled In Your Lies

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jan 10, 2009

Entangled in your lies
Wrapped up in my fear
Here I am conversing with my conscience
As if it was still here

I've been lying to myself
Swearing what you said was true
I can't believe I gave in to that
I can't believe I fell for you

I let my guard down for a second
And you instantly tore me down
But I'm the king of pain
And heavy lies this blackened crown

You'll have to do better then that
To get beneath my skin
You thought you had me going
That I indulged into your sin

Why so sad sweetheart
All is fair in love and war
You got the best of me
Now it's time to settle the score

Entangled in your own lies
Wrapped up in your fear
You say look into your heart
As if it was still here
