Lesson in life

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jan 10, 2009

You ask me why I'm so cold
And my hand begins to shake
I made the wrong choice before
I won't make the same mistake

You wear your heart on your sleeve
Oh how ignorance is bliss
See I was once like you
Now my heart lies in the abyss

When you give your heart to someone
You give them the power to tear you apart
You thought they were worth your trust
You should have seen it from the start

Then you fit yourself for the battle
This life thats so much like a war
Hatred spreads from your brain
All the way down to your core

So take this lesson my dear
Be careful what you do
Because in the end
The only one hurt will be you
