Doors remain unopened

I lay here in the dark
Thinking about tomorrow
Another day to see your smile
Yet im drowning in this sorrow

Words cannot explain it
The thousands of tears I forsake
Everything goes numb
As I feel my heart break

The words on this page cannot mend it
Im stupid for thinking they could
A few desperate phrases of last hope
Arent going to do any good

Yet ill keep on writing
In a futile attempt
To keep this from happening
To bring my tears to an end

To pretend everything is fine
And that its all a bad dream
One I cant wake up from
Where you cannot hear me scream

Im trying to gather the pieces
Of words that remain unspoken
Of things I know are still to come
Of doors that will never be opened
