Deep in the Heart of Misery

by Wake Me Up   Jan 11, 2009

Laying alone,
In a colorful bed,
Stained dark red,
And my heart of stone,

A reoccurring thought,
One blade, my flesh,
Other wounds still fresh,
No more misery to be fought,

Hide the scars,
Tell a lie,
Don't look at their eye,
Just look at the stars.

Will this ever be a past,
Do I matter to someone,
Or has death already won,
And I've already passed,

A cut to deep,
Sends thoughts everywhere,
Dazed, and beginning to stare,
My arm red and weeping,

Losing control,
Lost in my own mind,
But, to my room I'm confined,
Make another slit, is my last goal,

Laying alone,
In a colorful bed,
Stained dark red,
And my heart of stone

^^ I thought that stanza was incredibly powerful and intense. The entire poem is full of deep emotions, and im sorry if you feel this way. It wasnt forced, but i think the flow was a bit off in some places. But thats just my opinion, maybe its just the way im reading it. But anyway, apart from that youve done an excellent job. Well done.
