Where have all the good times gone ?

by cda   Jan 12, 2009

The magical years when we were in love
I will cherish like the freedom of a dove
The last goodbye - when I think of now
Shattered my world like a dying foxglove

You sent me hugs you gave me hope
Your generous thoughts held the tight rope
Trapped in thought and unable to cope
Memories faded on a downhill slope

Where have all the good times gone
I am broken hearted and so alone
The need so strong to feel your touch
In a real world the chance not much

Another wonderful piece from you. I like the ending stanza ...
"We laughed we cried we shared our sorrow
Moved so closely like our own shadow
Hearts entwined warm gentle & mellow
Engulfed in a freedom like a flying swallow"
    Flawless, 5/5. Em
