Where Angels roam

by Ingrid   Jan 13, 2009

Where Angels roam

Some day we will meet again,
when my final day is through
and I have said goodbye to life
I will come to be with you

You fought so long and hard,
a mere shadow of who you used to be
But when I look into your eyes,
It is still the pretty girl I see

So go ahead now mama,
dont you worry I will be fine
Go to sleep now sweetheart,
enter the realm of the divine

There is a time and place for everything
All good things must come to an end
You have given all you had,
it is time to prepare for whats at hand

I am sure He will welcome you
with open arms and a smile upon His face
You have lived a life of virtue,
a woman of grandeur and of grace

You have to go now,
to the place where angels roam
In time I will come to be with you
in the heavens, our final home

Written on October the 5th 2008 as a dedication to mrs. Clair Becker, beloved mother of my dear friend TJ Becker. She passed away a few days ago.
My thought and prayers are with you, my Arizona Eagle.

The title of this poem really caught my attention. So many people can relate to it, and it's very heartfelt. The flow really works because of the constant rhyme scheme. Great job, and thanks for the comment. :)
