I remember the day that you came into my world
We started out as friends, then you were my girl
I didn't even know if this would last
Or if it was just a thing that would soon pass
I couldn't really tell but I knew how I felt
I knew what to do with the cards Ive been dealt
Those girls we were with, told you I'm in love
With a beautiful angel, from the skies above
You thought they were lying so I told you it was true
I think of you everyday and I'm madly in love with you
You came into my room, a light went off in your head
When you stared into my eyes, when you sat on my bed
You came in close, put your arm around my shoulder
But not to kiss me, to protect me from that boulder
From my baby sister, from that little brat
Annoying me so much, jumping on my back
You pushed her off and went for a walk with me
I got a little bored, so I told you a love story
You paid close attention but I don't think you knew
That the whole thing was all about you
Things got a little rough when we ran away from home
I express my love in writing so I wrote you a love poem
Remember that tunnel we slept in at the park
I was so scared we were all alone in the dark
I could feel the sand soaked up in my hair
I could feel the rain in the freezing cold air
My body was so numb I couldn't sleep through the night
I wanted to and tried to but I couldn't hold you tight
For one whole week we slept on the same wood
You know I would've done something if I could
We only had one blanket it was to small to share
We still got through with only one jacket to wear
There was nobody to help us we only had each other
My family didn't believe me about my brother
We couldn't find a bed, couch surfing was a mess
We barely had any friends, we were losers I guess
We didn't go to school we never had a shower
We hardly ate and got hungrier by the hour
We stole all our food even a pair of jeans
And we still don't even know what family means
They said we wouldn't last but we know they're wrong
We wont be apart because our love is to strong
We don't need to prove a point that we can stay together
Everyone wanted us apart but our love will last forever
